We recognize that going to a church for the first time can be uncomfortable. So we are careful not to call attention to you. We know people progress best in their investigation of Jesus and investment in Him at their own speed.
To help people do that we have two different styles of worship services. This gives people a choice in selecting an environment and time that is better for them.
The 8:45 a.m. service is contemporary, which means we have a live band plus use a projection system for songs and the morning message. Dress is casual with more of our younger couples attending. The 11:00 a.m. service features a choir and traditional hymns. And you will also see a few more coats and ties.
In both services, the message (sometimes called a sermon) has a bible-centered foundation, relevancy to life, and is designed to encourage rather than condemn. We also provide a nursery and a supervised playtime for little ones whose parents believe are a little too young for the worship service.
During the week, we have a church-wide Wednesday nights supper open to all at a minimal cost. Supper starts at 5:45 p.m., followed at 6:30 p.m. by children and youth activities plus a couple of Bible studies. It is a good time to get to know people in a casual setting. Come by for the first time, and we will ‘comp’ your meals.
Our church exists to help people like you take the next step on your spiritual journey with God. Come on by Sunday morning or Wednesday evening. If you have a particular question about Sunday mornings or Wednesday evenings call (804-749-8031) or email me (Dean.Frazeur@gmail.com).
