God is the One who created the stuff of the Universe and life itself. God is not some philosophy, a perspective, or even a distant force. God is deeply personal, creating us to connect with Him personally (John 3:16). From the very beginning and up through today, God's greatest joy has always been sharing His love with people and helping them to enjoy their growing relationship with Him.
God cares so deeply for us that He has remedied what keeps us apart from Him — our failings and flaws. That is why God in stepped into this world in the person of Jesus Christ. In Jesus, we see who God truly is and learn how God wants us to live in community with Him and others. In Jesus, God willingly forgives all of our destructive and diminishing actions whether we did them to ourselves or others, even when we were trying push Him away.
God also meets us in the One who we call the Holy Spirit, who is God’s presence with us. In the Holy Spirit, God guides and directs us to live His way regardless of what’s gong on around us.
God has done all of that because of who He is.
