PASTOR
Senior Pastor:
Dr. Curt Kruschwitz
Curt came to be our Senior Pastor in February, 2017. Prior to this, Curt served as the Associate Pastor for College and Community Missions at First Baptist Church of Waco, TX.
Curt grew up in the Short Pump area and graduated from Godwin High School. He studied History, Religion, and Philosophy at Georgetown College in Kentucky. In addition, Curt has completed his Masters of Divinity and his Doctorate of Ministry from George W. Truett Theological Seminary at Baylor University in Waco, TX.

From 2002 to 2005, Curt served with the International Mission Board in Western Europe, primarily working with refugees.
​
Curt is married to Erin, a nurse practitioner, and they have twin boys, Matthew and Nathan. Curt loves to run, play soccer, and travel.

Kevin James
Rev. Kevin James serves as our outreach coordinator as he leads and helps our church family engage with and bless our community.

Justin Lingerfelt
As our Congregational Care Coordinator, Justin Lingerfelt provides and coordinates care for our church family.

Teresa Kessler
Teresa Kessler serves are our Children's Coordinator as she provides guidance for our children's ministry to help us provide opportunities for children and young families to connect, grow and serve together.

Discipleship:
Sharon Condrey
As our Discipleship Coordinator, Rev. Sharon Condrey coordinates opportunities for youth, adults, and senior adults to grow in their faith in Christ.
SUPPORT STAFF
Media & Communications Coordinator:
Leslie Hepburn
Leslie joined the GBC staff in October 2023. Once an active member of the GBC youth group, she moved to Newport News to attend CNU where she earned her Bachelor's and Master's degrees. Upon returning to Richmond, Leslie worked and gained experience in the fields of education, technology, and ministry. She has served on staff at three churches in various roles and capacities. She's excited to bring her talents back to GBC as she aids the ministry and congregation of this church family.

Leslie currently resides in Midlothian with her husband, Chris, and their two children, Natalie & Tyler.
Custodian:
Linwood Boxley
Linwood joined the GBC staff in June 2025. He earned his BS in Business Management from Virginia State University. He is hard working, with a servant's heart and passion for cleaning! ​
Linwood loves basketball and the Cleveland Browns; he currently lives in Henrico with his son and fiancé.
